1. Purpose of the Transaction Guide

This Transaction Guide explains the stages of concluding agreements for electronic purchases through www.petkatalog.com and Petkatalog mobile applications, how orders are placed, how data entry errors can be corrected and how electronic agreements can be accessed.

2. How Is an Order Placed?

The user adds the product or products they wish to purchase to their basket.
They check the products, quantities, prices and any promotional information in the basket.
They select a delivery address or add a new one.
Delivery options appropriate to the address and order are displayed.
The user selects one of the available delivery methods.
They select a payment method where necessary.
They apply coupons, points or promotional benefits.
The order summary and total amount payable are shown to the user.
The Pre-Contractual Information Form and Distance Sales Agreement are presented to the user.
The user provides the necessary agreement acceptances electronically.
They complete the order confirmation that entails an obligation to pay.
When the order has been successfully placed, the order number is shown to the user.

3. Information Displayed Before Order Confirmation

Immediately before order confirmation, at least the following information is displayed to the user, depending on the nature of the order:

Products ordered,
Product quantities,
Unit and total prices,
Applicable product or promotion discounts,
Coupon discount,
Points or credit used,
Delivery or shipping charge,
Total amount payable including VAT,
Delivery method,
Estimated or committed delivery time.

4. Conclusion of the Agreement

The user accesses the Pre-Contractual Information Form and Distance Sales Agreement and provides the necessary electronic acceptance.

For orders requiring payment, users are expressly informed that confirming the order entails an obligation to pay.

Once the order is successfully placed, the Distance Sales Agreement for that order is concluded electronically.

5. Correcting Data Entry Errors

Before confirming the order, the user may check and change the following information:

Products in the basket,
Product quantities,
Delivery address,
Billing information,
Coupon and promotion selections,
Delivery method,
Payment method.

The ability to make changes after completing an order may vary depending on its preparation and delivery status.

The user may carry out available actions through the My Orders section or Petkatalog customer services.

6. Order Record Retention

Electronic transaction records relating to the order are kept for the retention periods prescribed by the applicable legislation.

The versions of the Pre-Contractual Information Form and Distance Sales Agreement used at the time of the order may be kept as an immutable electronic record.

7. Subsequent Access to Agreements

For orders placed through a membership account, the user must be able to access the order's agreements from the relevant order details in the My Orders section.

The following documents may be made accessible in the relevant order details:

Pre-Contractual Information Form,
Distance Sales Agreement.

If guest checkout is supported, the relevant documents may be sent to the electronic contact address provided by the consumer or made available on a durable medium.

8. Retention of the Membership Agreement

The version of the Membership and Terms of Use Agreement accepted during registration, the acceptance date and the necessary technical records may be stored electronically.

A subsequent update to the agreement does not alter earlier acceptance records or agreements relating to past orders.

9. Delivery Methods

Depending on the delivery address, product stock and operational conditions, one or more of the following methods may be offered:

Petkatalog express courier delivery,
Delivery through a shipping company or carrier,
Collection from a store.

The applicable delivery method, estimated delivery time and any delivery charge are displayed before the order is completed.

10. Order Tracking

Users may view their order status in the My Orders section of their membership accounts.

Depending on the nature of the order, statuses such as preparing, out for delivery, shipped or delivered may be displayed.

11. Order Cancellation and Withdrawal

A cancellation request may be submitted through the Platform depending on the order's preparation and delivery status.

The consumer's right of withdrawal from distance sales is subject to the conditions explained in the Distance Sales Agreement and Pre-Contractual Information Form.

The legislation does not require a reason to be given when exercising the right of withdrawal.

12. Returns

Users may initiate the return process through the return functions in their order details or through Petkatalog customer services.

The return carrier, return method and other operational information applicable to the order are shown in the Pre-Contractual Information Form for that order.

13. Commercial Electronic Messages

Creating a membership or placing an order does not mean that the user automatically consents to marketing communications.

Permissions for SMS, email and mobile marketing notifications are managed through separate preference settings.

Order, payment, invoice, delivery and account security notifications are considered separately from marketing messages.

14. Cookie Preferences

Users may set their preferences for non-essential cookies through the cookie preference management screen on the website.

Users may subsequently change their preferences through the “My Cookie Preferences” link.

15. Dispute Resolution

Consumers may apply to the competent Consumer Arbitration Committees within the applicable annual monetary thresholds.

The applicable provisions on mandatory pre-litigation mediation apply to disputes that must be heard by consumer courts.

The consumer's statutory rights concerning territorial jurisdiction are reserved.
